Rainforest Animals for Kids is a wonderful educational book that will expand the readers knowledge of the animal kingdom and the magical rainforest. Open to the public, the program lasts about an hour and is staged in the Cass Community Center. You’ll learn about the habitat, diet and behavior of each bird presented, the most common causes of injury to each species and the laws protecting these special birds. This afternoon program is all about raptors native to West Virginia: hawks, eagles, falcons, and owls. The educational birds program is a great opportunity to learn what birds say “who cooks for me, who cooks for you all?” as well as meeting other raptors. Live birds of prey at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park are presented by the Three Rivers Avian Center (TRAC) on Saturday, Septemat 2:30 p.m. This book illustrates the important connections and layers of an ecosystem.
